The Beauty of Gaganbavada

Five Days in Andur: A Rural Internship Filled with Purpose, Nature & Friendship

The Journey Begins

When we arrived in Andur, the first thing that struck us was the peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by a Dam, quiet roads, and the warmth of the local people, it felt like we had stepped into a completely different world—far away from the rush of city life and college routines.

The main goal of our internship was to interact with the villagers and understand their lives—economy, farming, education, healthcare. We went door-to-door, speaking to farmers, women, youth, and elderly residents.

At first, we were unsure how to approach them. But their friendliness made it easy. Every conversation was a lesson, every smile a reminder of their strength and simplicity. We learned how they manage with limited resources.

Doing this internship with friends made it even more enjoyable. We supported each other during surveys, shared meals, walked around the village streets. It felt less like a intership and more like a adventure filled with laughter.

After the college work, we also explored the natural beauty surrounding Andur. Gaganbavada is known for its green hills, waterfalls, and peaceful viewpoints. In our free time, we visited some nearby spots, clicked tons of pictures.

These short escapes gave us the perfect balance—hard work during the day, and calm exploration in the evenings. It reminded us that learning doesn’t always have to be inside a classroom. Sometimes, it’s hidden in mountain views, quiet sunsets, and village stories.

When the five days came to an end, we didn’t want to leave. Andur had become more than a location—it had become a memory. We returned not just with data for our reports, but with beautiful memories, and stronger bonds with each other.

Our internship in Andur was more than a college requirement, if you ever get a chance to go for a rural internship with friends, take it. It’s not just a trip—it’s a journey you’ll remember for life.
