Five Days in Andur: A Rural Internship Filled with Purpose, Nature & Friendship The Journey Begins When we arrived in Andur, the first thing that struck us was the peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by a Dam, quiet roads, and the warmth of the local people, it felt like we had stepped into a completely different world—far away from the rush of city life and college routines. The main goal of our internship was to interact with the villagers and understand their lives—economy, farming, education, healthcare. We went door-to-door, speaking to farmers, women, youth, and elderly residents. At first, we were unsure how to approach them. But their friendliness made it easy. Every conversation was a lesson, every smile a reminder of their strength and simplicity. We learned how they manage with limited resources.
